19 Oct 2025 – Grateful for a Day of Discovery in Chongqing

Today, I am grateful for the chance to explore more of Chongqing’s cultural side, visiting the Chongqing Art Museum and Sibati Ancient Town.

The Chongqing Art Museum was a true architectural gem — bold, modern, and full of character. Its design, inspired by chopsticks and seal stamps, stood out beautifully against the city skyline. Inside, I wandered through galleries filled with stunning Chinese paintings and contemporary works that blended tradition with imagination. I was especially moved by how art here feels deeply rooted in history yet continues to evolve with time. It reminded me of why I love visiting museums, they hold the soul of a place through creativity and expression.

Later, I visited Sibati, an old town that felt like a walk through time. The streets were lined with traditional houses, red lanterns, and quiet courtyards that carried the charm of old Chongqing. There was a certain peace in the air, a balance between nostalgia and daily life. I loved watching locals go about their day, unhurried, grounded, and content.

Today’s journey filled me with gratitude for the way art and heritage coexist in Chongqing. The city is full of contrasts — ancient and modern, peaceful and energetic — yet it all blends together beautifully.

I left feeling inspired, reminded that creativity lives not only in galleries but also in the simple rhythm of everyday life.
