After several days of heat, the rain finally arrived this morning. It started softly, like a sigh, then grew steadier, forming a silver veil outside my window. The world instantly felt calmer, quieter, as if it, too, was grateful for the break.
There is something special about a rainy day. The air feels cool and fresh, the light softer, and everything outside seems to slow down. I curled up on my sofa with my coffee and a homemade sandwich, with Bobby by my side, the sound of rain becoming the perfect background music as I worked and read.
It reminded me how comforting simple moments can be. No rush, no noise, just the steady rhythm of rain and the feeling of being cocooned in warmth and stillness.
Today, I’m grateful for the rain, for its coolness, for the peace it brings, and for reminding me that even in stillness, the world keeps moving gently forward.
