Today, I took an hour off for foot reflexology, and it was exactly what I needed. My mind has been racing lately with all the ideas, plans, and research for the new startups I am involved in. It has been exciting but also mentally exhausting. The “monkey mind” has been in full swing, jumping from one thought to another, rarely resting.
The session was deeply relaxing. As the therapist worked on my feet, I could feel the tension slowly melting away. It was as if each pressure point helped quiet my thoughts, grounding me back into the present moment. I realised how much our bodies carry when our minds are overactive, how physical stillness can bring emotional calm.
I did not sleep well last night, but after this hour of rest and healing, I felt lighter and more centred. My mind softened, my breath slowed, and a sense of gratitude washed over me.
I am thankful for this little pause, for the reminder that even in seasons of busyness and creation, rest is not a luxury but a necessity. Grateful for the opportunities that keep me inspired, and equally grateful for the quiet moments that help me recharge for what’s ahead.
