Today, I feel especially grateful for my neighbour, who has also become my student in my yoga instructor training programme. By saying yes to my practice teaching, she gave me a precious opportunity to teach, learn, and grow in confidence as an instructor.
I taught her a one hour gentle flow yoga session, and I truly hope she enjoyed the practice and felt a little stronger, more open, and more limber by the end of it. Each class I teach helps me refine my cues, pacing, and presence, and I’m thankful for the trust she placed in me.
What made the day even more special was her kindness after class. She cooked dessert for me, and we enjoyed it together at her place, just upstairs from mine. It turned into a lovely afternoon break, filled with relaxed conversation and simple joy.
I also took the chance to visit her three cats, which was an unexpected delight. Moments like these remind me how meaningful everyday connections can be, especially when they blend learning, generosity, and friendship.
I’m grateful not just for the chance to teach yoga, but for the warmth of community, kind neighbours, and the small shared moments that make life feel rich and connected.
