10 Jan 2026 – Grateful for 51 Years of Life

Today is my birthday, and I’m feeling deeply thankful for 51 years of life on this earth.

I’m grateful for all the good things that have come my way, and for the lessons that arrived through challenges and growth. With each passing year, I realise more clearly how short life really is. Time moves quietly and quickly.

It feels almost unreal to think that just 30 years ago, I was celebrating my 21st birthday. Fresh out of school, stepping into adulthood and the working world, full of hopes and expectations. Back then, life felt wide open. Today, I understand that adulthood is not easy. It asks for resilience, responsibility, and courage in ways we can never fully imagine when we are young.

At 29, I married my amazing husband. This year, we celebrate 22 years of marriage, years filled with love, partnership, learning, and shared growth. I’m deeply grateful for walking this life with someone steady, supportive, and loving by my side.

Today, my family celebrated my birthday with me. Simple moments, shared meals, familiar laughter. These are the things that truly matter. I feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by love and to have reached this milestone with gratitude rather than regret.

As I step into another year, I do so with a fuller heart. Thankful for the past, present in the now, and open to whatever lies ahead.
