I am deeply grateful for today’s yoga therapy class on stress management. It was one of those sessions that felt both educational and personally nourishing.
We learned about meditation and visualisation, and how to gently and safely lead a meditation for clients experiencing stress and negative emotions. I appreciated learning how to cue clearly and compassionately, creating a space where clients can feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
What stood out was understanding, in more detail, how meditation works on both the body and the mind. How it activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helps reduce cortisol, and supports balance across many aspects of physiology and psychology. Having the science behind the practice makes it easier to explain why meditation is not just calming, but deeply restorative.
Master Ram guided us through a meditation, and I felt an incredible sense of calm, so deep that I almost fell asleep. It was a reminder of how powerful stillness can be when it is guided with care and intention.
I truly appreciate this class for equipping us with knowledge that helps us care for ourselves and, in time, support others more effectively. Grateful for the learning, the experience, and the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
