11 Feb 2026 – Grateful for healing my body

Today I feel deeply grateful for progress.

After months of yoga therapy and Ayurveda treatments, I went for my ultrasound scan. The results showed that the lipids in my liver have largely cleared. There is still a small amount left, but the difference is significant. Seeing that improvement on the scan felt like a quiet victory.

Fatty liver is one of those conditions that creeps up silently. You do not feel it. You do not see it. But it is there, affecting your energy, metabolism and long term health. When I first found out about it, I knew I had to take responsibility for my body. No shortcuts. No denial.

Through yoga therapy, I learnt to work with my body rather than against it. Twists to stimulate digestion. Breathwork to regulate the nervous system. Gentle strengthening to support metabolism. Consistent practice, not intense bursts.

Ayurveda added another layer of understanding. Food as medicine. Balancing pitta and kapha. Supporting agni, the digestive fire. Targeted herbal support. Cleansing in a systematic, supervised way. It is not magic. It is disciplined, thoughtful healing.

The ultrasound today felt like evidence that the body responds when you give it the right environment to heal.

I still need four more rounds of treatment to fully clear the remaining fats from my liver. But instead of feeling impatient, I feel encouraged. Progress is real. The path is working.

I am grateful for:

• The knowledge shared by my teachers and practitioners
• The science that allows us to monitor improvement objectively
• The ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda
• The discipline to stay consistent
• A body that wants to heal

In my early 50s, I realise health is not about looking young. It is about extending health span. It is about having strong organs, steady energy, clear mind and emotional balance.

This experience reminds me that prevention and restoration are possible when we commit. The body is not our enemy. It is our partner.

Today I honour my liver.
I honour my breath.
I honour the journey back to balance.
