6 Feb 2026 – Grateful that my Favourite Thai restaurant is still around

Feeling grateful today for a comforting meal at Jai Thai, a restaurant that has been a favourite of ours for many years. We’ve followed them since their early days at Thomson Plaza in the early 2000s, all the way to their current home at Jalan Pemimpin. It’s rare and special to have a place you grow with over time.

Their tom yum soup remains the best I’ve ever tasted. Rich, fragrant, and deeply flavourful, made with their own homemade tom yum paste. It’s spicy, but not harsh on the tongue. The kind of spice that warms you gently and keeps you coming back for more.

There’s something deeply satisfying about returning to a place that consistently delivers, year after year. Same comforting flavours, same sense of familiarity, and the same joy in every bite.

I’m grateful that Jai Thai is still around, still doing what they do so well, and that we can continue enjoying our favourite Thai food. Good food has a way of anchoring memories, and places like this remind me how simple pleasures can bring lasting happiness.
