Today, I feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn and experience Patra Pinda Sweda (PPS) and Pichu in Ayurveda.
Moving beyond theory into hands on practice made all the difference. Understanding how Patra Pinda Sweda uses heated herbal leaf bundles to relieve pain and stiffness, and then actually feeling the warmth, rhythm, and pressure on the body brought a whole new level of awareness. It is not just a technique, it is a dialogue with the body.
Experiencing Pichu was equally grounding in a different way. The simplicity of placing medicated oil on a focused area, allowing it to rest and penetrate deeply, showed me how stillness and patience can also be powerful forms of healing.
What I appreciate most is how Ayurveda works with the body gently yet effectively. There is no force, no rush, just a deep respect for the body’s natural ability to restore balance.
I am also thankful for the medical guidance that accompanied this learning. Having experienced practitioners explain the purpose, indications, and application gave me clarity and confidence, bridging ancient wisdom with practical understanding.
Today reminded me that healing is not just about knowledge, but about presence, touch, and intention.
Grateful for the learning.
Grateful for the experience.
Grateful to be walking this path, where ancient practices continue to reveal their depth and relevance.
And I carry this forward with deeper respect for the art of healing.
