Today, I felt a simple kind of happiness.
I finally received my new pair of ballet sneakers. A beautiful cross between a sneaker and a ballet flat, in the softest shade of pink, finished with the prettiest ribbons. The moment I saw them, I smiled. There is something about them that feels light, feminine, and quietly joyful.
It is such a small thing. Just a pair of shoes.
But it reminded me how meaningful these small moments can be.
I am grateful that at this stage of my life, I can afford little joys like this without worry. That I can choose something simply because I love it, because it makes me happy, because it adds a touch of beauty to my day.
There was a time when purchases were more about necessity. Today, it feels like a gentle reward. A reminder that I have come this far, that I have built a life where I can enjoy these small pleasures.
And perhaps that is what this pair of ballet sneakers really represents.
