I’m feeling deeply grateful to Dr Satyam for his insightful class on asthma and the respiratory system, approached through the lenses of yoga therapy and Ayurveda.
The session helped us understand the biology of the lungs in a clear and grounded way, and more importantly, why asthma is triggered from both a physiological and systemic perspective. Learning how inflammation, constriction, sensitivity of the airways, and the nervous system are interconnected gave me a much fuller picture of this condition beyond symptoms alone.
What I truly appreciated was the way modern biological understanding was thoughtfully integrated with yogic and Ayurvedic principles. It became clear how breathwork, asana, lifestyle choices, and Ayurvedic approaches can support the respiratory system holistically, not just by managing symptoms, but by addressing underlying imbalances.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to deep dive into a specific health issue in such a structured and meaningful way. Classes like this reinforce why yoga therapy and Ayurveda are powerful complementary systems, offering both knowledge and practical tools to support healing.
Grateful for the learning, the clarity, and the chance to expand my understanding of how alternative medicine can work hand in hand with physiology to help ourselves and others breathe easier.
