About Me

Contemporary Realism & Expressionist Painter | Visual Storyteller

Danielle Siauw is a Singapore-based artist whose work speaks to the soul through vivid color, delicate emotion, and refined technique. After three decades in the corporate world, Danielle chose to follow her calling as a full-time artist – a journey that merges structure with spontaneity, and realism with imagination. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, Danielle uses both mediums to explore the duality of control and freedom. Her contemporary realism is distinguished by luminous brushwork and a meticulous eye for detail, while her growing expressionist influences allow movement, texture, and intuition to take center stage. The result is a compelling body of work that feels both grounded and ethereal.

Nature is a central muse—birds, animals, fish and flowers often take symbolic form in her pieces, representing strength, healing, and connection. Her Wild and Free Series, celebrates the preciousness of wildlife, while Little Critters’ Daydream reflects childlike joy and wonder through little animals in a fragile world. Whether painting a shimmering fish in fluid dance or a jaguar in silent grace, Danielle’s visual storytelling invites reflection on wildlife conservation as a necessity, as species face extinction and delicate ecosystems like coral reefs vanish – each loss a silent warning that the planet’s balance is unraveling. She has exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair and in numerous curated shows in Worldwide. Her artworks are held in private collections around the world, admired for their clarity, emotional depth, and uplifting energy.

“One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words.”
