This piece is part of a series of fighting fish. This fish is known as a Betta and is bred in Thailand. They are very beautiful and colourful but is known to be solitary. Putting 2 together in a tank will result in one death. Thus the name fighting fish.
This is Oreo. He was abandoned at my neighbourhood about 4 years ago. He has a super relaxed attitude and is chill with most things and people. In fact, his superstar personality has attracted quite a bit of fans in the neighbourhood. Not forgetting he is a handsome chap himself, with nice built and a sexy mole. He knows it and acts like the King here. All the other cats see him as the big bro, except for some male Gangsta cats who love to challenge him to a fight because of his large built. He got into serious injuries before because of this.
Strangely, both he and I are drawn to each other since we lay eyes on each other. He follows me up my apartment almost every night via the lift…yes, this fella knows how to take lifts. He will then stay overnight at my place, fullboard with bed, food and water. I must say he loves my Airbnb. 8 months ago, I decided to adopt him as my forever pet. Now he is living the best life ever. Thank God for this!

Red roses are a symbol of romantic love. Giving a single stem or bunch of red roses on your anniversary, first date, Valentine’s Day or just because is the perfect way to say, “I love you” when words are not enough. Consider giving your significant other a single rose painting instead. It will stay fresh forever.

This is inspired by the pet birds at the coffeeshop near my house. The caged birds are perpetually surrounded by wild free sparrows, but the caged birds are oblivious to the fact that they are caged and have no freedom. Sounds like some of us, both the caged and uncaged, u think?
