This is one of my favourite traditional Chinese snacks, made of soft and chewy glutinous rice flour, with sweet mung bean or peanut fillings. It is usually molded into a red tortoise shape, to signify longevity and good luck. The ang ku kuehs are placed on traditional colourful Peranakan porcelaine plate.
