Today, I’m feeling deeply grateful after a lovely get-together at SA’s house, filled with warmth, laughter, and incredibly good food.
SA and AL cooked a wonderful spread for dinner. We enjoyed comforting claypot rice, flavourful fried bee hoon, and delicious BBQ satay. Every dish was made with care, and it showed. There is something special about home cooked food shared around a table. It nourishes not just the body, but the heart as well.
Dessert was just as indulgent. We had homemade burnt cheesecake and Mao Shan Wang durian, rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying. To end the night, we treated ourselves to a coffee affogato, the perfect finish to an already full and happy evening.
I left feeling completely stuffed, content, and grateful. Meals like these remind me how meaningful it is to slow down, gather with people you love, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
Thankful for generous hosts, delicious food, and the joy that comes from sharing a table with people who matter.
