8 Jan 2026 – Grateful for the Joy of Planning a New Journey

Today, I’m feeling grateful for the simple joy of planning my next vacation.

I’ve booked the airfare, hotels, and sketched out a general itinerary. Even before the journey begins, there’s something deeply satisfying about imagining the days ahead and knowing that time away is taking shape. This time, we’re heading somewhere mountainous, drawn by the promise of cool air, open views, and a slower rhythm.

After months of movement and reflection, the thought of being surrounded by mountains feels especially grounding. Cooler temperatures, fresh air, and nature have a way of calming the mind and resetting the body.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to travel. Not just for the destination itself, but for the freedom to pause, explore, and step outside daily routines. Travel offers perspective, inspiration, and moments of quiet joy that stay with us long after we return.

For now, the planning itself is a gift. A reminder that there is always something to look forward to, and that life continues to offer new landscapes to discover, both within and beyond.
