Today was my first day back at yoga after the holiday, and it felt good to slowly ease back into the practice.
After a week of travelling, long walks, and sleeping in unfamiliar beds, my body felt a little stiff. As I began the class, I noticed a strange ache around my left shoulder that seemed to run down my arm. It felt slightly numb and uncomfortable, reminding me how quickly the body reacts to changes in routine.
Thankfully, Master Ram noticed it and guided me through a gentle shoulder stretch to release the tension. The movement was simple but very effective. Slowly, the tightness eased and the numbness faded. By the end of it, my shoulder felt noticeably better.
Moments like this remind me how valuable it is to have a knowledgeable teacher who understands the body and knows how to respond with care. Yoga is not always about pushing into difficult poses. Sometimes it is about listening, adjusting, and allowing the body to recover.
I am grateful to be back on the mat.
Grateful for a teacher who guides with patience and wisdom.
Grateful that my body responded and released the tension.
Today was not about perfection. It was simply about returning, reconnecting, and taking the first step back into practice.
