11 Mar 2026 – Grateful for Returning to My Practice

Today I spent two hours on the mat, one hour of vinyasa followed by one hour of yin yoga. It felt both invigorating and grounding at the same time.

The vinyasa session gently woke up my body after the break. The flowing movements, the rhythm of breath with each transition, and the gradual build up of energy reminded me how alive the body feels when it moves with intention. It was energising without being overwhelming.

After that, the yin yoga session brought the opposite but equally important balance. Slowing down, holding the poses longer, allowing the body to soften and release. Yin always feels like a quiet conversation with the deeper layers of the body. The stretches were gentle yet profound, easing tension that I did not even realise I was carrying.

Coming back after the holiday, I can feel that my body is still adjusting. A little stiffness here, a little tightness there. But today was not about pushing. It was about returning.

Two hours on the mat reminded me how much I value this practice.

Grateful for movement that energises.
Grateful for stillness that restores.
Grateful to slowly ease back into my yoga routine.

Sometimes the most important step is simply showing up on the mat again.
