Today I feel grateful for something simple yet meaningful. The motivation to continue and complete the background of my painting.
There are days when inspiration flows easily, and there are days when even picking up the brush feels like a challenge. After taking some time away from painting, returning to the canvas has been a gentle process. Not rushed, not forced, just slowly finding my way back.
Working on the background today may seem like a small step, but it felt significant. The background sets the tone, the atmosphere, and the space in which everything else will come to life. As I layered the colours and worked through the details, I could feel myself reconnecting with the process.
It was not about perfection. It was about showing up.
I am grateful for that quiet push within me, the motivation that helped me sit down and continue. Sometimes, that is all we need. One small step forward, one layer at a time.
Today I give thanks for the ability to begin again, for the patience to move slowly, and for the joy of returning to something I love. Even the simplest progress carries meaning.
