Wandering Tides

Three sea turtles move through an ocean that seems to continue beyond the canvas. Each follows a different path across layered fields of blue, turquoise, sea green and violet, while trails of white dots trace the shifting water behind them.

Wandering Tides is about travelling without having every direction mapped. The turtles share the same vast sea, yet each finds its own way through the current. Their detailed shells and patterned flippers give them individual presence, while the surrounding translucent colour holds them within a larger rhythm. The work offers a gentle reflection on uncertainty, independence and continuing forward even when the destination has not yet revealed itself.
