18 June 2026 – Gratitude for Learning AI and Building Apps with Codex

Gratitude for Learning, Building and Creating More Space

Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to learn AI with OpenAI Codex and to start building apps that genuinely help my life.

I decided to learn how to vibe code with Python because I am running many things at the same time. There is my art, my AI tax business iLevvy, my yoga, my eBook and many smaller business interests. I am also studying yoga therapy and Ayurveda now, and I hope to be certified in those too. On top of all that, I want to continue my new hobby, crochet.

It is a lot to hold.

That is why automation suddenly felt not just interesting, but necessary. I have so many ideas in my head and so many things I want to do. If the mundane tasks can be automated, then I can have more time and energy for the work that feels meaningful: art, learning, teaching, building and creating.

So far, I have built four apps: two automation apps and two financial apps.

One automation app helps me edit content, optimise SEO and post on my website automatically. This used to take me at least two hours every day. Now it takes at most about 30 minutes.

Another app helps automate product listings on my website and Etsy. What used to take around three hours can now take about 20 minutes or less.

I also created an expense and budget app, plus a net worth app to track my finances. Instead of spending so much time sorting through everything manually, I can upload my bank, investment, credit card and CPF statements. The apps categorise the information, tell me whether I have overspent or stayed on budget, and update my net worth and investment performance.

That gives me peace of mind.

I still feel mind blown by how much AI can do. It is not only about speed. It is about possibility. It is about realising that ideas which used to feel too difficult or too technical can slowly become tools I actually use.

I am grateful that I get to learn this now. I am grateful for the apps already built, for the time they are saving me, and for the space they are giving back to my life.

With more of the mundane things automated, I can return to the things I truly want to do: make art, study, grow my businesses, practise yoga, write, crochet and keep building a life that feels more creative and intentional.

Today, I am grateful for AI, for learning, and for the strange joy of realising that I can build more than I thought I could.
