2 Nov 2025 – Remembering with Love on All Souls’ Day

Today, on All Souls’ Day, I felt a quiet calling to return to church. It has been a while since I last went, but something in my heart told me to pause, to reflect, and to offer prayers for those who have gone before me.

As I sat in the stillness of the church, I thought of my dad, my father-in-law, and my grandma. I prayed for their souls, remembering their kindness, their laughter, and the countless memories they left behind. Though they are no longer here in body, I could feel their presence — gentle, warm, and loving — as if they were smiling from somewhere close.

Life moves so quickly that we sometimes forget to slow down and remember. But All Souls’ Day reminds us that love transcends time and space. Those we have lost are never truly gone; they live on in our hearts, in the lessons they taught us, and in the quiet ways they continue to guide us.

I am grateful for the time I had with them — for the love, the wisdom, and even the challenges that shaped who I am today. Grateful, too, for the peace that comes from prayer and reflection, for the chance to reconnect with faith and gratitude.

Today, I honour the souls who walked before me, whose presence once filled my life and whose love continues to light my path. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may we all remember to live with the same grace, compassion, and love they gave us.
