Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to attend a free Pilates class, thanks to my Yoga Master who is also a Pilates instructor. It has been years since I last did Pilates, and returning to it after such a long time felt both challenging and rewarding.
Compared to yoga, Pilates feels similar yet different. The focus on core strength, precise movements, and control reminded me how interconnected the body truly is. Every small movement required awareness and stability. It was tough, my abs were burning by the end of class, but it felt good to reconnect with that strength within.
What I love about practices like yoga and Pilates is how they both train not just the body but the mind. The discipline, focus, and breath awareness carry into all areas of life. Though I left the class sore, I also left feeling stronger, more centred, and deeply grateful for the experience.
It was a beautiful reminder that growth often comes through challenge, and strength is built one mindful movement at a time. Thank you to my teacher for the gift of this class and for always inspiring me to keep learning, exploring, and expanding my practice.
