28 Dec 2025 – Grateful for the Pause and the Perspective

Today, I’m grateful for taking time to rest and pause. To slow down, breathe, and reflect on the year that has passed and the new year ahead.

2025 has been a year of new beginnings, filled with both highs and lows. It marked a major transition in my life. This was the year I officially stepped away from the corporate world and began venturing into new territories, especially yoga. It was unfamiliar, challenging, and deeply rewarding.

I continued walking my art path as well, creating new works and participating in exhibitions. I travelled quite a bit too. From Japan Okinawa in April, to a Batam beach resort in June, the Tioman art retreat in August, and later to China Chengdu, Chongqing, Jiuzhaigou, and Huanglong. Each journey brought inspiration, perspective, and moments of quiet joy.

Yoga became a central part of this year. I completed my yoga instructor course, finished my practical and theory exams, and clocked 15 hours of teaching at the studio. It was an intensive year of exploration, learning, and growth through yoga, both physically and mentally.

There were many highs. Creating art, holding exhibitions, catching up with my besties and friends, and reconnecting with people who matter. These moments filled the year with warmth and meaning.

There were also lows. The hardest were betrayals by people I already knew could not be trusted. Beyond that, the other challenges felt manageable in comparison. Nothing too overwhelming, just part of the learning curve of stepping into a new way of living.

Overall, it has been a good year of adjustment. A year of exploring ideas, redefining success, and living life more on my own terms. I am especially grateful for the improvement in my health, something yoga has gifted me steadily and quietly.

As I sit with these reflections, I feel thankful. Thankful for growth, for clarity, for resilience, and for the courage to choose a different path. Ready to step into the new year with more intention, balance, and trust in the journey ahead.
