31 Dec 2025 – Grateful for Friendship on New Year’s Eve

As the year came to a close, my heart felt full of gratitude for how I spent New Year’s Eve.

I had a lovely catch up with a university friend who was back from Australia, and it was truly heartening to hear that she is doing well there as a doctor. Even though we have not met for quite some time, the connection felt easy and familiar.

SA and SC joined us throughout lunch and tea, and the four of us spent the afternoon together, talking and laughing without rushing. We have known each other since University days. Our conversations flowed naturally, covering so many topics, from life and work to politics and religion. There was a sense of openness and trust that made the time together feel especially meaningful.

We shared stories, perspectives, and plenty of laughter. Moments like these remind me how precious friendships are, especially those that stand the test of time and distance.

Ending the year surrounded by wonderful friends felt grounding and joyful. I’m deeply grateful to have people in my life with whom I can reflect on the past year and welcome the new one together.

As we step into a fresh beginning, I carry this gratitude with me.
