Gratitude for Turning Pain into Pages
Today, I am grateful that I finally launched my book, Escaping the Corporate Circus.

Launching it feels meaningful because this book did not come from nowhere. It came from experiences that left behind difficult feelings, the kind that do not always disappear just because time has passed. Some memories can stay in the body and mind longer than expected. They can return as anger, sadness, frustration, disbelief or a quiet ache.
Writing the book helped me give those feelings somewhere to go.
There is something powerful about putting painful experiences into words. The page does not erase what happened, but it allows the experience to become more organised. It gives shape to thoughts that may have been circling inside for a long time. It creates a little distance between the feeling and the self.
As I wrote, I felt that I was not only telling a story. I was also slowly releasing parts of the heaviness I still carried. Some of the bad feelings are still there, but they no longer feel as trapped inside me. They have moved into language. They have become something I can look at, edit, understand and share.
That feels like a kind of freedom.
I am grateful for the courage it took to finish the book. I am grateful for the discipline to keep returning to the writing, even when the subject was uncomfortable. I am grateful that something painful could be transformed into something useful, honest and real.
There is also relief in knowing that the experience is no longer only sitting quietly inside me. It has been shaped into something that may help someone else feel less alone. That thought makes the difficult writing feel worthwhile.
Most of all, I am grateful for this moment of completion.
Launching Escaping the Corporate Circus feels like closing one loop and opening another. The difficult feelings may not vanish overnight, but today they feel lighter because they have been witnessed, shaped and released into the world.
